Good release day, Kingdom!
I've got just one word for you today (followed by a large number of other words): TRAITS! That's right, your Heroes are now fully equipped with both passive and active traits that can be used in combat. This marks off yet another exciting and gargantuan task from the eternal Beetle checklist.
In addition, we have a large slew of combat engine updates and quality of life improvements which have been enumerated in the #game-updates channel, and some general quality of life updates that are pretty intriguing, if I do say so myself. Let's dive in!
Hero Traits
As mentioned above, traits are now fully available and integrated in the combat system. Just start a new Void Hunt or a training battle at the testing grounds to try out these exciting new abilities. Each Hero has two active and two passive traits. If either trait has a duplicate, your Hero will receive double the effect if it's a passive or an additional charge to use if it's an active. Additional information on each trait is available in #game-updates.
Combat Engine Improvements
Besides the amazing traits indicated above, a large collection of combat engine improvements and updates have been included as well. This includes balancing changes, better reporting in the battle compendium, bug fixes, and more. We will continue to improve the experience as we get closer and closer to PvP. Check out the full list of updates in #game-updates.
NOTE: with the width and breadth of these exciting updates, some in-progress Hunts may be affected. Feel free to reach out to support if you run into any issues.
Multi-Hero Bridge Support
As part of an effort to improve the bridging experience for Heroes, we have added the ability to queue up multiple Heroes and execute all transactions in quick succession. This should greatly increase the speed at which you can bridge Heroes and hopefully decrease the friction around moving between realms. TLDR: Bigger boats!
Pet Pool Filter
By popular demand you can now filter Pets by their appearance pool: either normal, odd, or ultra-odd. This is now available in all Pet views, so you can finally find those Fat Hechus without having to weigh every single Hechu in the catalog. Now get out there and find some odd Pets!
We're excited to be making significant progress with PvP while also pushing out exciting features like Hero traits! As we get closer to allowing and supporting you in your quest to beat up your friends, enemies, and strangers, we hope you'll take the time to try out these cool new abilities.
