You may have noticed more pending transactions lately. Both MetaMask and, to a lesser extent, Rabby have been showing some odd behavior in gas estimations. We are looking for anything we can do on our end to help with this as well, but in the meantime: MetaMask: Has been estimating gas slightly too low, but now seems to be dedicating the whole amount of gas to the "priority fee," which then doesn't cover the base GWEI needed SOLUTION: On your next transaction, click the pencil next to the gas amount to edit your gas. Select the "advanced" option. In the "Max GWEI" box (the top one) set an amount that you are comfortable with as the most that a transaction will spend. Personally, I use 12 GWEI, because DFKChain gas rarely, if ever, goes over 12. This will not spend the full 12 on every transaction. It will only spend what is needed, you are setting a maximum amount. In the "Priority Fee" box (the second one), personally, I use 0. You can use any amount, but this amount will charge on every transaction, and it is only to prioritize your transaction in the case of a full block. Make sure to check the "save as default" box Tl;dr: Edit gas, advanced, set to 12 max GWEI, 0 priority (personal recommendation amounts), and check "save as default" Rabby: Also has been estimating gas slightly too low SOLUTION: Using the "Instant" option seems to work in most cases. Unfortunately Rabby does not have the option for you to save your own default, but you can also edit your gas in the transaction if needed and use the same values as above. Also an option: Utilize a DFK Account through Halliday, and it does all this for you We recognize that pending transactions are super inconvenient and were hoping this would be resolved, and are still looking for resolutions, however, wanted to bring some options in the meantime 🙂
