Let's Make Staking Great Again. We have spent the past 24 hours completing some final checks to staking. It's going really well and we will do some final testing on mainnet a little later today. There are some things to consider before we take this to mainnet which makes it permanent and irreversible. Firstly, the VAB TOKEN: - Circulating supply is currently 833,000,000 . OF WHICH: - 188,996,392 is on Polygon. A total of: 174 wallets. LEAVING: - 644,003,608 on Ethereum. This tell's us that approx 5,000 wallets (allowing room for those still on old polygon addresses/exchange wallets) are still on ethereum and are not prepared for staking. Given the nature of VAB Staking is based on pool ownership and not personal APR we must make sure that staking launch is fair for everyone. Therefore, we are adjusting the plan to launch staking by 72HRs. Staking Launch: - Staking will launch on Monday 12th. - Waitlist applicants receive the link to staking 1 hour before we launch. Successful applicants will be notified later today so they can prepare. Why the delay? - Over the past 48 hours, our marketing has been consumed by our advisory announcement. So, for the next 3 days, Friday through Sunday, marketing will be focused on Staking launch. We need your help on this one. Be on stand by for the next announcement later this afternoon. It might be worth it :eyes: - This is an attempt to remind people to bridge, purchase and/or swap their tokens in time for staking and provide everyone with fair opportunity in Pool Ownership and therefore rewards. Voting Adjustment - After testing for the past 2 weeks and considering all user use cases for voting (again), we noticed a vulnerability which could lead to vote manipulation. - If we continued with the 1 vote = 1 vote rule, a user with 100 VAB could create 100 wallets and stake 1 VAB. This means 1 person turns into 100 people. It's like the story of "Dead People" casting votes during the U.S. Presidential Election. - Therefore, we had to introduced weighted votes. - The change is simple, in order for a vote to pass, the total sum of staked VAB which votes YES must be higher than the total sum of staked VAB that voted** NO**. - All other voting/staking functions remain the same. You must vote to receive rewards UNLESS no proposals are made in your 30 day staking period. - Luckily for us, our token is very well distributed and as for our largest token holders, we are aware of who they are ***and they will not use their weight to manipulate the voting process.*** Listing You asked, we listened. - We have coordinated with Bitmart, our primary CEX exchange to support VAB (Polygon). This will make on-boarding and off-boarding Polygon VAB much easier for users who either do not want to bridge or purchase from Uniswap. - Listing of Polygon VAB will be live starting week of the 19th. Some of you may be put out by this and we hear you but you need to remember there are over 5,000 of you we need to think about and not 174 of you so it is important that you consider your fellow Vabble community members before reacting in a irate way in our chats.
