Heads up integrators 🛠️ Zano Companion is getting a permissions system. Public rollout on the Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons is June 15, 2026. What this means for your integration: 🔹 Sites can no longer read wallet data on page load 🔹 You must call the new REQUEST_ACCESS method before any other request 🔹 Permissions are scoped per origin and per wallet address 🔹 Three permission types: general, balance, history. Ask for what you actually need. 🔹 Pages that auto-trigger wallet reads on load will look broken on the new version until you migrate What you need to do: 1. Pull the dev build from the feat/permission-system branch of hyle-team/zano-extension 2. Wire in REQUEST_ACCESS before any other call 3. Wrap it in a try/catch with the backwards-compat fallback documented in the post 4.
